What exactly is it that I absolutely have to get for my brand-new child?

Keep in mind that the hospital won't release you without a car seat for the baby, so make sure you purchase one before you go.

In addition to this, you will do all in your power to safeguard your new little marvel. Take it easy and savor the time you have with your wonderful child while it lasts, since you won't get it back.

If it is at all feasible, make arrangements with friends and family so that they will bring meals or come help you out at home after the birth of the baby (and a good friend to organize), and/or hire a doula to assist you.
